There is a new Walgreens in our town (actually it's the first one in the area) and I went for the first time this weekend. I wanted to try out their Easy Saver coupon program. I don't think I did too bad. Here is what I bought:
3 packs of the G2 gel pens sale: $1.00 each
2 packs of Walgreens brand diapers sale: $5.99 each
1 Tube of Desitin 5.99
Spray N Wash 3.79
2 Sure deoderants 2.49 each
I used $10.99 worth of coupons and paid $17.xx out of pocket. I earned $5 RR from the baby items and $3 in rebates for the pen and spray n wash.
Not great deals, but I like the system...it seems easy. Plus, this was my first time so I hope to get better deals next time.
Do any of you shop Walgreens? Do you have any secrets? Prefer CVS??

I shop both CVS and Walgreens. I find that alot of the times, they run sales on the same items, so if you want to stockup it helps to have multiples of coupons.
I love their rebate program. I am able to do mine online so that helps too. I have them load my rebates on a gift card, they add 10% for me choosing that option, then I use that for the next month's rebates.
Plus I love their register rewards (RR) because they print right then, like ECB's.
Haven't had any luck there yet. They haven't had the items that I wanted or needed. Maybe I just picked a bad day.
