A few weeks ago, we ordered 6 chickens...full grown & already laying eggs. They were to be picked up around the first week of March. So, hopefully they get here soon...I'm ready for some fresh eggs!! In the mean time, we decided to add a few more birds to the flock, or is it brood when you are referring to chickens. I have no clue...
Anyway, we have a dozen chicks currently living under a red heat lamp, until they are ready to go outside. 6 of them are Golden Comets and the lighter yellowish/white ones are Amberlinks. Both will lay brown eggs...eventually!
But, the good news is - Our chicken shack finally has occupants!
